Contest holders would HAVE to prepay contests

This would remove the option from the main contest page and put it in an "excluded entries" or "rejected entries" tab.

I see a lot of amazing work being submitted to other contests that some of the designers work killed the winner selected. I would like to be able to invite those designers to my contest to give them a chance.

As a CH I hate getting overshadow by someone else higher $ contest.

I also noticed that you're starting the option to extend contests, I think increasing the Prize $ to an additional (minimum) $50 would be fair requisite for extensions -- considering the time and effort these designers invest in creating our logos ;)

For example- I see a contest like olol media, they have prepaid $200 but I'm pretty sure they didn't find a logo they liked.. and they hardly got any entries (probably because of the BQB contest going).. is there a way to make contest holders faced with this dilemma happy? Because they will need to choose a logo from what I understand- I was thinking there could be an option to extend a contest for a day or two (or so). Maybe for an additional $5 or something? I kinda feel for them.

As a contest holder, I would be really interested to see how others rate the designs.

Also, it would nice for designers to be able to appreciate each others work by scoring or voting.

It's hard to believe a contest can be a 'featured' contest when the CH is not involved. Changing how 'featured contests' are chosen (maybe a percentage of submissions have been scored??) would encourage CH interaction and help put focus on contests in which the CH is active.

Change one of the questions the CH answers when creating a contest to include color preferences

Have it so that Designers cannot see the entries, yet the CH can and can therefore still make suggestions.

For now we just send stuff to design court and before you know you got the VP. gladly some PM you at first but not all. I understand if its exact clipart case then design court should start automatically, but if its copy of existing designs in that contest then designer sent to DC should have chance to withdraw its design or leave it up and let others to decide.

That will help against unfair use of DC

I had to sign up pretending to be from Switzerland since there was no option to enter Sweden. :)

We've all seen variations of the same design infraction be voted down - sometimes 4 or 5 variations of the same infraction are in DC. I think it would be good to look into making a way to group the design variations featuring the same infraction into one court case. Currently multiple variations of the same infraction (intentional or not) can result in banning.

During my contest, I left a lot of criticism, which I think discouraged other designers. Because I know you guys read comments left for others for "ideals."

And my ranking system is not based on bad to good (1-5) it's ranked by "which logo design is making it to the preliminaries '3' " with 4-5 reserved, respectfully for finalist, and winners.

However they were, I think, getting the wrong impression, when I gave their logos a 2.

Now I'm having to PM comments to anyone interested, and notating potential candidates in an excel sheet.
